History


Ramblas' roots can be traced back to autumn, 1999 (Satama); when the first attempts to mobilize the Internet were 'up in the air'. It was a dark and windy day in Helsinki, when a customer asked us to develop a wireless village for the industry audience. To create an online mobile community and to start doing market-making for the world's first WAP services and devices. A decade later and after marketing and market-making at hundreds of events, about 1/3 of Finland's population uses Mobile Internet to access Internet content. And the development will continue!


Ramblas Digital is based on the digital event marketing business of SATAMA Interactive, a pioneer in the fields of Digital Business and Digital Marketing Communications; and Eastway Oy, a leading event organizer and event technical producer in Finland.


Satama, now part of Trainer's House, and Eastway have been working together in the event marketing field – including companies such as Nokia as customers – and by forming a joint venture they were able to expand their services to the whole ICT sector and, later, beyond that.


The company was founded in September 2006 and at the same time six employees of Satama were transferred to Ramblas. Other ex-Satama employees also work in our management team.


Currently, Ramblas Digital employs over 20 Event professionals from a large number of different backgrounds. That and our passion to make things happen are two of the many things that set us apart!
